Dr Satish Deopujari has practised paediatrics in Nagpur for over three decades, but his work has never stayed inside a clinic. A recurring frustration with imported, expensive respiratory equipment led him into ventilator design; a need to teach faster led him into mobile apps; a concern for rural infant mortality led him into public health campaigns. Today he holds academic, clinical and engineering titles simultaneously — and treats them as one continuous practice rather than three separate careers.
He is Director of Shree Child Clinics in Dhantoli, Professor Emeritus at Indira Gandhi Government Medical College, and Adjunct Professor of Practice in Mechanical Engineering at VNIT Nagpur — a combination that reflects the interdisciplinary approach behind PranaSetO₂, the Oxygen Helmet and the Lung Museum.
